Official back to work day, and all in all, it was pretty good. Managed to get all the paperwork in order to start back, and also get to a meeting about another project at a School. This one is to create a performance about War over a 6 week period, with around 50 year 3 and 4s. How much fun! I shall be starting next week, which is really something to get my teeth into, and the pay is pretty good too! Had great fun at the after school club tonight, and then we did the pub quiz at our old watering hole. We came last, but were only 6 points off the lead, so all very close. It was very pleasant to get out and have a change of scene. Big news, I have finished the first book of the year! I rather enjoyed it, but felt a little down by the end. It is hardly an uplifting story! I have now started on Book number two..The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet by David Mitchell. It was recommended to me by the lovely Mr Pops, and I have enjoyed the start of it immensely. It is billed as a love story set in 18th Century Japan. I find it interesting to do a little research on authors before I read them, and David Mitchell seems quite an interesting man, but I had to stop reading for fear of spoilers in reviews and such like. I shall report with progress.
